This years Motor City Comic Con was one of the best times I've ever had in more ways than one!  I got FOUR great commissions, met a LOT of great creators for the first time, got plenty of new books, and best of all had a few great surprises! Friday, as always, was when I got most of my comics signed and my commissions done.  The first person I knew I had to get to first was Dave Gibbons!  I was one of the first in line there and, while bummed to be told there was a limit on the books I could sign (well specifically, the first 5 were free and any after that was a $1 donation each) I condensed my books down to 12 (so $7 extra) and got my commi

Today has to be one of the most painful days of my life. Years ago my parents got a dog while I was away at college. Her name is Lily and she's been a very good dog (unfortunately she's one of those "I'm the queen of the house...save for daddy" kinda dogs. But after a few neighboring dogs died, she went into a slump, so my parents decided to buy a new dog. Her name was Piper (the name she had when we got her).
